Pick-Roll

Let's start by saying that there are 450 million basketball players worldwide, and most of them have played at least once on a public basketball court. But there are two problems: there is no official map of public basketball courts, and it is impossible to know the skill level of other players you might encounter. For this reason, we developed Pick-Roll, the first app that connects basketball players on the courts. Thanks to a geolocated map, users can find the nearest basketball court or add one if it's not on the map, check in to signal their live presence at the court, organize games, discover new events, and evaluate other users through a gamification system. Pick-Roll is the official app of the Italian Basketball Federation for 3x3 tournaments and a community partner of international Red Bull Half Court tournaments. At the moment, we have more than 100k users on our app, with a focus on Generation Z. Our business model is based on sponsorship. Some of our sports clients include Wilson and Decathlon, along with brands interested in our young community like Ferrero and Billy Tacos. Compared to our competitors, we are the only entity with a certified map of basketball courts, and we are scaling internationally.
