Biografia

Pierpaolo Gambini, married with three daughters, with a degree in Engineering and a Master in Business Engineering. Throughout his career, he has held different roles in business development, sales, technology governance, coordinating and managing the governance process of R&D activities for the optimization of investments and synergies in the activities of research, Open Innovation and in the promotion of technology and STEM culture both inside and outside the company.
Since February 2021 he is the Responsible of Open Innovation and Intellectual Property of the Leonardo Group, one of the world's leading companies in Aerospace, Defense and Security. Among the most challenging initiatives the management of MindSh@re Project, an interdisciplinary and intercompany program aimed at leveraging technical skills within the group, disseminating best practices and generating open innovation activities with over 1000 resources involved, the BIF (Business Innovation Factory) the first startup accelerator of the Leonardo Group and the Innovation Award which for 17 years has selected and rewarded the best innovations and ideas developed by Leonardo.
Passionate about innovation processes and collaborations with startups, is member of the Board of Directors of COTEC and of several Advisory Board.
