At Katakem, we believe that access to Chemistry defines people's quality of life. Since 2019, Katakem has been at the forefront of developing OnePot®. This fully automated Matrix in-Batch reactor is a technological advancement and a potential pharmaceutical industry disruptor.

OnePot transforms a whole chemical process into a few kb files that can be uploaded on a sharing platform with simultaneous access from thousands of OnePot-based local production units, which can start to replicate the finished product instantly worldwide. In that way, OnePot is a kind of “vendor machine” for chemistry. Each local production unit has to supply the needs of around 100 pharmacies, allowing straight control of the demand by leveraging internal stock from shops. Our technology enables new business models for all the stakeholders with general economic gains linked to a massive contraction in the complexity and costs of the entire process.

In the first two commercialised models, OnePot is ready-to-use machinery, and its operational flexibility is demonstrated by several use cases, from soft biotech to complex synthesis, performed in collaboration with our academic partners. Our patented technology enables decentralised chemical production, ushering in a new era of innovation akin to the evolution already underway in mechanics with 3D printers.
