Mosaico provides a standardized, extensible, and multi-language library of data models of sensors commonly used in robotics, formalizing and standardizing the representation of sensory data and metadata across different application contexts, languages, and execution environments. The ontology enables fundamental functionalities such as data lineage, semantic versioning, saving of artifacts, and orchestration of complex pipelines. Mosaico handles the traceability of data and events throughout the entire processing chain. It allows reconstructing the data path from source to target, including all intermediate transformations. Data linage also integrates an advanced logging functionality for recording system events, error messages, and operator triggers. Designed to manage large volumes of heterogeneous data, Mosaico integrates a multi-modal search system based on AI agents, which allows complex queries through natural language, images, video segments, GPS tracks or structured criteria.

Mosaico - Orchestration & Certification

Mosaico uses containers to manage and coordinate software. Containers package applications and their dependencies, creating isolated, consistent environments that prevent configuration errors during initial setup and updates. This ensures reproducibility for experiments and tests by minimizing human error during system startup and shutdown. By adopting containers, Mosaico simplifies testing and development, guarantees pipeline reproducibility even in high-performance computing (HPC) environments, and tracks container versions. Mosaico provides a set of tools specifically designed to assist and manage the integration of algorithmic pipelines into safety-critical systems. Its main objective is to accelerate the development cycle for its users, towards automating the task of evidence generation for certification during the regular development process.
