RADIO6ENSE leads in developing innovative IoT solutions for Industry 5.0, empowering customers with advanced data-driven capabilities. We quickly transform virtually any product – be it a tire, an electric cabin, food, a mechanic tool, or an implantable prosthesis – into a data-generating object with built-in wireless sensing functionalities to fit where no other IoT devices could.

Since 2013, RADIO6ENSE has evolved from a spin-off of the Pervasive Electromagnetics Lab at the University of Rome Tor Vergata into a reliable partner for Open Innovation projects and recognized leader in the international RAIN RFID sensing community.

Thanks to our multidisciplinary know-how and innovative method, we can support our clients throughout the entire innovation journey, from idea and design to industrialization. Our solution revolutionizes temperature and humidity monitoring inside pharmaceutical packaging by eliminating the need to open containers. Miniature, wireless, and battery-free probes integrate seamlessly into vials, bottles, and packages, delivering precise localized measurements. The portable reader system allows flexible placement in stability chambers or on lab benches, enabling scientists to customize testing setups. Continuous monitoring of hundreds of containers simplifies testing procedures during long-term campaigns. Our IoT solutions leverage RAIN RFID technology to tackle a wide range of industrial challenges, from small devices requiring embedded sensing to large systems with hundreds of nodes. We are specialized in developing zero-power wireless sensors, uniquely designed to fit into spaces inaccessible to other devices and to operate reliably under harsh conditions, enabling unprecedented wireless connectivity and sensing capabilities. Typical applications include monitoring parameters literally “inside” objects such as tires, screws, food packaging, and even implantable medical devices, as well as on rotating and moving parts like bearings, cutting blades, and electric rotors. Additionally, our maintenance-free, cost-effective sensors can be deployed in large numbers across distributed electrical systems and production machinery. We offer comprehensive IoT platforms that integrate the physical layer for data acquisition, complemented by advanced analytics and AI services, transforming raw measurements into actionable insights to enhance quality, efficiency, and durability of products and processes.
