People Intelligence powered by causal AI: what really drives performance and wellbeing

Start-up of Regione Lazio

Description

Trainect is the Benefit Corporation and B Corp behind IRIS, a People Intelligence platform powered by causal AI. We don't just measure engagement: we identify the cause-and-effect links between organizational wellbeing and performance, showing which levers to pull and the impact to expect. The model, validated with SAA – University of Turin, turns continuous listening into measurable HR decisions.
We work with CHROs, HR Directors and C-level leaders of mid-to-large companies in Italy and Europe that already have people data but no answers: they want to know where to act, not just how the organization feels. IRIS sits on top of existing HCM systems instead of replacing them.

IRIS: the People Intelligence that explains why

IRIS: the People Intelligence that explains why

Most HR platforms tell you how people feel. IRIS tells you why, and what changes if you act. IRIS is a People Intelligence platform that applies causal AI to organizational data: instead of stopping at correlation, it reconstructs the cause-and-effect links between climate, engagement and performance with causal models (structural causal models, difference-in-differences) and estimates the expected impact of each action before you take it. Listening is continuous and light: a few items a month keep metrics always current (eNPS, eSat, Well-being Score) instead of one annual snapshot. The engine pinpoints priority levers by team and population, suggests action plans and measures their effect over time. The model comes from our scientific partnership with SAA – University of Turin and is validated on 916 respondents across 18 organizations. IRIS layers on top of the HCM systems already in place: from system of record to system of intelligence.
Continuous listening: the annual survey is over

Continuous listening: the annual survey is over

The engagement survey is a snapshot: it arrives once a year, and usually too late. IRIS replaces it with the Golden Architecture of Listening – a few questions a month and three always-current metrics, eNPS, eSat and Well-being Score, readable by team, function and population. The innovation is not the frequency, it is the structure: every pulse is designed to feed the clusters of IRIS's causal model, so it adds information to the model instead of asking the same question again. What you get is a monthly time series rather than an isolated data point: you read trends, isolate the effect of the actions you already took, and catch risk signals before they turn into turnover. Automations handle delivery and reminders with no extra load on HR, and the data feeds the organizational index and the priority levers to act on.
