Smart Communities and Energy Transition are the perfect match: energy transition is thriving thanks to the involvement of people - including citizens. Smart Communities are intelligent and sustainable cities characterized by a high quality of life and a high degree of resource optimization, in which access to services is easier and citizen participation is active. Smart Communities cannot ignore energy transition. Citizens feel a greater desire for autonomy in the management of the resources of their territory , whichhas prompted tens of thousands of people across Europe to gather in so-called energy communities.
