Description

Finapp has developed and industrialized the CRNS (cosmic ray neutrons sensing) probes which allows you to determine: Soil Moisture, Biomass, Snow Water Equivalent. The method uses Cosmic Rays which continuously reach the earth's surface where suspended neutrons interacts with the water molecules present in the soil, in the plants, in the snow.



Finapp allows the measurement of the mass of water dissolved in applications as: Precision Agriculture & Irrigation, Water Resource for hydroelectric basins, Early warning information for Avalanches and Landslides, Biomass evaluation in Agriculture, Carbon Market and Forestry, Water leaks pre localization in water distribution.

Water utilities struggle to identify leaks in buried pipe infrastructure, Cosmic Ray Leak Pre-Location methodology can help. Finapp has developed and industrialized the CRNS probes (cosmic ray neutrons sensing) which allow the pre-location of water leaks from users. Thanks to the CRNS technology and the innovation brought by Finapp, the probes make it possible to obtain maps of soil moisture and therefore of losses, georeferenced, available almost in real time. The simultaneous measurement of neutrons and muons, exclusive to Finapp, and through artificial intelligence algorithms, the network is trained to recognize water leaks and to discriminate against false positives. The system is mounted on a van, which travels the city streets at low speed, providing the pre-location of hidden leaks on any route with the result useful for qualifying the distribution network, deciding which leaks to repair or where to replace pipes
