Relicta

Relicta wants to be part of the solution to a great problem which is global plastic pollution. The Relicta solution is a water-soluble bioplastic obtained from fish processing waste and suitable for flexbile packaging and flexible multimaterials solution. In particular, from the skin of the fish it is possible to obtain, through a specific mixture, a transparent, odorless plastic film with high oxigen barrier. Relicta plastic, due to its composition, is also water soluble, compostable and biodegradable. Water solubility is the most important feature of our product which opens up new disposal methods for this material and the self-disposal process does not alter the normal water purification processes. Relicta is suggesting to completely eliminate the processes of plastic disposal, in order to make the business idea even more sustainable. Selling a fish product contained in a packaging created by its by-products is a winning strategy: it avoids traditional plastic into the packaging, but it also recovers value from waste.
