Istemi develops innovations in the field of studying the forms of degradation of construction materials and proposes the development of new materials for the protection, consolidation and restoration of existing structures. The degradation study activity is carried out with innovative techniques such as radar, scanners, XRD. The development of innovative materials is carried out with green chemistry, i.e. with processes for the reuse of secondary raw materials. To this end, it has strengthened a laboratory specialized in the field of conservation and consolidation of buildings with the aim of studying and testing new materials for renovation and consolidation interventions on existing structures.
