The bridge between the Italian and the German Innovation Ecosystems
SMAU | Italy RestartsUp in Berlin is the leading event dedicated to innovation in Italy, organized in collaboration with ITA, the agency for the internationalization and promotion abroad of Italian companies, that will take place on April 28th.
A selection of 40 Italian startups will show their own products and services to corporates, investors and enablers. During the event, there will be also some pitching sessions and panels with representatives from the Italian and Berliner innovation ecosystems focused on: Smart Manufacturing, Energy & Environment, Smart Mobility, eHealth, Food & Retail.
The purpose of the event, as Pierantonio Macola, President of Smau, states, is: “to introduce the innovative excellence of “Made In Italy” to Berliner entrepreneurs, investors and managers invited to the exhibition. Italy is best known in the world for its excellence in food, fashion and design and Smau | Italy Restarts UP in Berlin will be the occasion to activate trade relations, partnerships and investments between the various international ecosystem professionals that will visit the event and those from Italy taking part in the initiative”.
Programme
Wednesday, April 27th
from 06.30 pm (by invitation only)
An opening networking cocktail event will take place at the Italian Embassy. The event is dedicated to investors, corporates and relevant players belonging to the Berliner's and German startup ecosystems, interested in the delegation selected by Smau.
Thursday, April 28th
from 09.30 am to 08.00 pm
At ewerk start-up companies will show their own products and services to corporates, investors, enablers and startups.
There will be numerous panels with representatives from the innovation ecosystem focused on: Smart Manufacturing, Energy & Environment, Smart Mobility, eHealth, Food & Retail.

Friday, April 29th
from 09.00 am
Tour of some of the places where innovation happens, with visits to incubators and accelerators in the city in order to stimulate the creation of partnerships with representatives from the Italian ecosystem participating in the initiative.
