The bridge between Italian and UK Innovation Ecosystem
SMAU | Italy RestartsUp in London is the event dedicated to innovation between Italy and UK Ecosystem, organized in collaboration with ICE, the agency for the internationalization and promotion abroad of Italian companies, that will take place on May 3rd.
A selection of 40 Italian startups will show their own products and services to corporates, investors and enablers. During the event there will be also some pitching sessions and panels with representatives from the Italian and Uk innovation ecosystems focused on: Food & Retail, Smart Manufacturing, Energy & Environment, Smart Mobility, eHealth.
The purpose of the event, as Pierantonio Macola, President of Smau, states, is: “to introduce the innovative excellence of “Made In Italy” to Londoner entrepreneurs, investors and managers invited to the exhibition. Italy is best known in the world for its excellence in food, fashion and design and Smau | Italy Restarts UP in London will be the occasion to activate trade relations, partnerships and investments between the various international ecosystem professionals that will visit the event and those from Italy taking part in the initiative”.
Programme
Tuesday, May 2nd (by invitation only)
An opening networking cocktail event will take place at the Italian Embassy. The event is dedicated to investors, corporates and relevant players belonging to the Londoner's and UK startup ecosystem, interested in the delegation selected by Smau.
Wednesday, May 3rd from 09.00 am to 08.00 pm
At The Old Truman Brewery startup companies will show their own products and services to corporates, investors, enablers and startups.
There will be numerous panels with representatives from the innovation ecosystem focused on: Food & Retail, Smart Manufacturing, Energy & Environment, Smart Mobility, eHealth.

Thursday, May 4th from 09.00 am
Tour of some of the places where innovation happens, with visits to incubators and accelerators in the city in order to stimulate the creation of partnerships with representatives from the Italian ecosystem participating in the initiative.
