The bridge between Italian and UK Innovation Ecosystem
SMAU | Italy RestartsUp in London is the event dedicated to fostering innovation between the Italian and UK ecosystems. Organized in collaboration with ICE – the Italian Trade Agency for the internationalization and promotion of Italian companies abroad, the event will take place on March 10th.
A selected group of 40 Italian startups will showcase their products and services to corporates, investors, and innovation enablers. The program will also include pitching sessions and panel discussions featuring representatives from both the Italian and UK innovation ecosystems, with a focus on Food & Retail, Smart Manufacturing, Energy & Environment, Smart Mobility, and eHealth.
As stated by Pierantonio Macola, President of SMAU, the purpose of the event is: “To introduce the innovative excellence of Made in Italy to London-based entrepreneurs, investors, and managers attending the exhibition. Italy is globally recognized for its excellence in food, fashion, and design, and SMAU | Italy RestartsUp in London will be an opportunity to activate business relationships, partnerships, and investments between international ecosystem players visiting the event and the Italian companies participating in the initiative.”
Programme
Monday, March 9th (by invitation only)
An opening networking cocktail event will take place at theItalian Embassy. The event is dedicated to investors, corporates and relevant players belonging to the Londoner's and UK startup ecosystem, interested in the delegation selected by SMAU.
Tuesday, March 10th from 09.00am to 08.00pm
At Protein Studios Shoreditch, startup companies will show their own products and services to corporates, investors, enablers and startups.
There will be numerous panels with representatives from the innovation ecosystem focused on: Food & Retail, Smart Manufacturing, Energy & Environment, Smart Mobility, eHealth.

Wednesday, March 11th from 09.00am
Tour of some of the places where innovation happens, with visits to incubators and accelerators in the city in order to stimulate the creation of partnerships with representatives from the Italian ecosystem participating in the initiative.
