The Marche Region is shaping its innovation story through a collective, forward looking vision grounded in the 2021–2027 Smart Specialization Strategy.
This strategy strengthens technological development and supports startups and innovative SMEs through structured financial incentives, including recurring ERDF funds calls that fuel creation, early growth, and scale up pathways for new enterprises. Moreover, the Region promotes the internationalisation of companies—especially startups and innovative SMEs—by directly organising or partnering with other public bodies to ensure participation in highprofile global events (e.g. SMAU London, Paris, Stockholm, CES in Las Vegas, Web Summit in Lisbon), providing visibility, investor access and collaboration opportunities for the Marche’s innovative business community. Within this landscape, Fondazione Cluster Marche plays a pivotal role, coordinating technological clusters and fostering collaborative research and technology transfer to enhance regional competitiveness.
Digital and green transformation is further accelerated by EDIH4Marche, which supports SMEs in adopting advanced technologies—from AI to robotics—by mobilizing universities, competence centers, and technology labs across the territory. The innovation ecosystem is further reinforced by a network of incubators—such as The Hive, BP Cube, Culturae Lab - which provide mentoring, dedicated resources, and technology‑transfer opportunities that help early‑stage enterprises grow and integrate into the wider regional innovation landscape.
Together, targeted funding, international outreach, and strong research–industry collaboration make Marche a compact yet dynamic innovation ecosystem capable of attracting investment and fostering sustainable growth.
