We are interested in any innovative solution coherent with our business.
In particular we are focused on:
ENERGY
Electric energy and gas: We are the energy partner of over two million customers nationwide. We propose solutions based on the principles of energy efficiency and seek to provide tools that can increase consumption awareness and foster responsible and sustainable lifestyles aimed at reducing wastage.
Renewable energy: We see the electricity distribution network as an enabling and essential factor for the energy transition. We contribute to the reduction in the emissions of end users through the sale of green energy and the furthering of energy efficiency projects involving public and private real estate assets. We aim to increase the share of energy production from renewable sources and reach 2.8 GW of RES installed capacity by 2023.
E-mobility: Today, our circuit boasts a total of about 850 charging points, located mainly in Lombardy and in the Friuli-Venezia region. We also run a charging service for private and corporate customers which allows access through digital platforms to a network of charging infrastructures nationwide.
Energy efficiency: We help businesses start out on an energy transition pathway that makes their processes, industrial sites and buildings safer. With the integrated refurbishment of buildings, the administration and maintenance of air conditioning and hot water distribution equipment, we also make it possible for service sector companies and apartment buildings to start working to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050
SMART INFRASTRUCTURES
Electricity and gas distribution: Every day, we distribute energy and gas, offering a service characterized by the important technological evolutions that we put into practice. With smart meters we offer citizens new ways to control their consumption. In the coming years we will support the electrification of power consumption with cutting-edge technologies applied to the distribution network.
District heating: We are leaders in Italy in the district heating sector. District heating is a safe, clean, efficient and affordable way of heating buildings, significantly reducing the charges that customers have to meet when using traditional heating systems, such as the periodical maintenance of boilers, for example.
Water cycle: We supply clean water to people’s homes, guaranteeing the management of the entire cycle: catchment, distribution, collection of wastewater and purification. Our production sources are made up of 176 wells and 182 sources and springs, thanks to which we deliver a total of around 49 million m3 a year through a pipeline network of 3,585 km.
Smart city: A Smart City is a city where various stakeholders utilize and have at their disposal different devices that function together to make the city more intelligent. According to our vision, Smart Cities are the concrete way in which regions can deliver an improvement in communities’ quality of life by enabling better use of energy resources so as to achieve greater sustainability.
Public lighting: We directly handle the planning, building and maintenance of systems of public decorative/artistic lighting, traffic lights and commemorative cemetery lighting. We ensure a reduction in energy consumption, the limiting of light pollution and respect for the environment using the latest generation of technologies.
ENVIRONMENT
Waste collection and urban hygene: With waste collection and urban cleaning services, we are present in Lombardy’s main provinces and in various towns and cities in the Liguria region. We foster more responsible and sustainable behaviour by providing information and services to help ensure the correct sorting of waste so that everyone can play a part in the broader project of the circular economy.
Recovery of materials and energy: We are frontrunners in the entire waste management value chain, all the way to the transformation of waste into new material ready to be returned to the cycles of production and consumption. We manage 5.2 million tonnes of waste, serving four million inhabitants. Of two million tonnes collected, about 70% are destined to material recovery and 30% to energy recovery.
