Techinnova's main R&D projects in the healthcare sector are ROG & COMMITMENT. - ROG (Real Organ Generation) is a new software and hardware components useful for offering a new 3D printable digital modeling service of the human heart and its pathologies, as a support tool for the simulation of surgical interventions, training medical-scientific and doctor-patient communication. The platform is now registered and able to support the definition of mockups and to adapt models to use it in VR or 3D printing. - COMMITMENT project develops smart T-shirts equipped with IoT sensors constantly monitoring citizens’ health and wellness conditions. COMMITMENT aims at filling a crucial gap that exists in the social and healthcare system by taking preventive actions; therefore, through an advanced online-coaching system, the project seeks to keep an ever-growing number of people active and healthy. The coaching system is based on the idea that advices - instead of instructions or specific obligations - can motivate the person (thus developing their own COMMITMENT) to independently modify their lifestyle in a conscious and effective way (Nudge Theory).

Techinnova's main R&D social projects: TRATOO & MyPonic™ - TRATOO’s main goal is to implement an IT-platform which innovatively promotes both Sustainable Tourism and theme tourist routes. Indeed, the implemented App allows tourists to create thematic, tailor-made routes according to their own desiderata (tourist route; food and wine trail; fashion and/or design theme paths). In parallel, TRATOO not only provides the tourist with an extremely precise tool as to GPS tracking, but also allows the tourist to sightseeing by means of AR technologies. TRATOO enables customers to add to its maps their own shops by using Augmented and Mixed Reality techniques, thus promoting their products, that are sold on the TRATOO e-commerce website. - MyPonic™ is an automated aquaponic system for residential use that combines biological and artificial systems in order to help improve – both directly and indirectly – the physical and psychological state of the person. MyPonic™ is equipped with a set of carefully selected botanical components and fish species, automatic lighting system, & monitoring system. The aquaponic system MyPonic is characterized by a controlled balance from both the natural interaction with the fish species inserted in the aquarium (source of irrigation for the growth medium of the plant component), and a monitoring system (which guarantees the control of water quality and ensures the maintenance of ideal conditions, thus minimizing the need for intervention by the end user).
