Biografia

Francesco is Vice President of Fincantieri Marine Group (FMG) responsible of industrial planning, innovation and operations development across all Fincantieri’s Shipyards in the US. His role encompasses developing integrated production planning, fostering research and innovation programs, ensuring efficient execution, and managing capital investments. He collaborates with technical innovation hubs to identify concepts that enhance production and create business opportunities, while harmonizing industrial strategy across U.S. operations and driving cross-fertilization of innovations throughout Fincantieri's global network. He previously served as Deputy Chief Operating Officer of FMG, where he supported executive leadership in coordinating and advancing U.S. operations while driving innovation and technological advancement in shipbuilding through Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Manufacturing, and Industry 4.0 solutions. Francesco retired from the Italian Navy holding the rank of Captain (O-6) after 26 years of service. He holds a U.S. Navy Surface Warfare Officer pin, and he served twice as Chief Engineer aboard major Navy surface combatants. He received numerous military and civilian honors, including the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and other joint and single-service awards.
