smartFAB is a deep-tech SME that has created an AI Industrial Analytics platform. We help factories move from reactive firefighting to proactive, data-driven decision-making by turning fragmented production data into clear, explainable, and prioritized actions that both operators and engineers can use to improve performance.



At the core of smartFAB is a real-time operational Digital Twin that is automatically generated from existing data sources such as ERP, MES, quality systems, and IIoT. Unlike traditional “digital twin projects” that require long consulting engagements and heavy manual modeling, smartFAB reconstructs how production actually runs—flows, constraints, bottlenecks, and variability—so teams can understand what is happening on the shopfloor and why, with objective evidence.



On top of this Digital Twin, smartFAB provides modular analytics that support the main plant functions:



- Digital Lean Analytics: monitoring efficiency, cycle times, bottlenecks and root causes of inefficiencies to support continuous improvement initiatives



- Production Planning & Scheduler: data-driven production planning and scheduling integrated with real factory constraints



- Anomaly Detection & Predictive Quality: early detection of process drift and defect prediction, supported by root-cause analysis



- Residual Life of Components: estimation of remaining useful life of critical assets and components to enable data-driven maintenance strategies



- Production Optimization: data-driven operational optimization recommendations (process parameters, setups, sequencing)



In multi-product pilots and deployments, smartFAB has demonstrated measurable outcomes such as +10–20% OEE, +15–20% productivity/throughput, up to −20% cycle time, and up to −30% scrap, alongside improved operational stability.



smartFAB is designed to be deployable in weeks, without the need for new sensors, complex IT projects, or an in-house data science team. Core components include: Digital Twin (shared foundation; automated reconstruction of flows/constraints); Digital Lean (OEE, cycle time, throughput, bottlenecks and root causes); Anomaly Detection (early warning for drift and process instability); Predictive Quality / Risk of Poor Quality (defect risk, containment, rework/scrap reduction); Line Optimization (what-if scenarios and operational recommendations on setups, parameters, sequencing); Scheduler (adaptive scheduling with real factory constraints); RUL – Remaining Useful Life (residual life of critical tools/components for data-driven maintenance); Dynamic CIP (optimized cleaning cycles and resource savings with risk control). Outputs are impact-ranked, explainable, and role-based for operators, engineers, quality, and maintenance. Typical deployment <30 days, with no new sensors or heavy IT projects.
