The bridge between Italian and Bay Area Ecosystem
SMAU | Italy RestartsUp in San Francisco is the event dedicated to innovation between Italy and the Bay Area Ecosystem, organized in collaboration with ICE, the agency for the internationalization and promotion abroad of Italian companies, that will take place on the 21st of May at Innovit.
A selection of 40 Italian startups will show their own products and services to corporates, investors and enablers. During the event, there will be also some pitching sessions and panels with representatives from the Italian and Bay Area innovation ecosystem focused on: Food & Retail, Smart Manufacturing, Energy & Environment, Smart Mobility, eHealth.
The purpose of the event, as Pierantonio Macola, President of Smau, states, is: “to introduce the innovative excellence of “Made In Italy” to San Francisco entrepreneurs, investors and managers invited to the exhibition. Italy is best known in the world for its excellence in food, fashion and design and Smau | Italy RestartsUp in San Francisco will be the occasion to activate trade relations, partnerships and investments between the various international ecosystem professionals that will visit the event and those from Italy taking part in the initiative”.

Programme
Monday, May 20th from 06.30 pm (by invitation only)
An opening networking cocktail event will take place at the Italian Consulate. The event is dedicated to investors, corporates and relevant players belonging to the San Francisco ecosystems, interested in the delegation selected by Smau.
Tuesday, May 21st from 09.00 am to 08.00 pm
At Innovit startup companies will show their own products and services to corporates, investors, enablers and startups.
There will be numerous panels with representatives from the innovation ecosystem focused on: Food & Retail, Smart Manufacturing, Energy & Environment, Smart Mobility, eHealth.

Wednesday and Thursday, May 22nd-23rd from 9:00 am
Tour of some of the places where innovation happens, with visits to incubators and accelerators in the city in order to stimulate the creation of partnerships with representatives from the Italian ecosystem participating in the initiative.
