PHOTO ACTIVE PLUS is a photocatalytic solution based on nanotechnologies expressly formulated for the treatment of outdoor glass surfaces exposed to sunlight to give the following characteristics, without changing the appearance and transparency of the treated surfaces: 1. Self-cleaning effect of the treated surface obtained thanks to the hyperhydrophilic effect conferred by the titanium dioxide particles. Hyperhydrophilia allows rainwater to perfectly wet surfaces treated with a homogeneous film of water which, thanks to the runoff effect, removes contaminants from the surface; 2.Cooling effect of treated glass surfaces. By spraying small quantities of water on the treated surfaces, it is possible to obtain a cooling effect on the neighboring surfaces and spaces; 3. Permanent anti-fog action of the treated surfaces (windows, mirrors, etc.) thanks to the photocatalytic action; 4. Deodorant action due to the developed oxidative power of the titanium dioxide molecule photo-excited by light radiation, which allows the breakdown from the odors developed by VOCs such as thiols, mercaptans, ant aldehyde, etc. and odors of biological origin such as mushrooms, molds and spores; 5. Anti-polluting action due to the strong oxidative power developed by titanium dioxide which guarantees the abatement of pollutants of chemical origin such as VOC, nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides present in the atmosphere; 6. Antimicrobial, anti-algae, anti-mold action due to the strong oxidative power developed by titanium dioxide. The photocatalytic reactions that take place on the surface generate reactive charges which lead to the degradation of microorganisms; 7. The product makes the treated surface hyper-hydrophilic so that the water flows away without leaving residues of drops and traces of limestone. Thanks to the particular binder present, the surface retains this characteristic over time, keeping it stable against chemicals and resistant to abrasion and washing.
