Liebherr is an independent, wholly-owned family-run company, which is managed as a decentralized Group (total turnover 11,7 € m). Independently operating divisional control companies are responsible for the activities in the individual product segments. Liebherr develops and manufactures a vast variety of fascinating products. Innovative ideas, modern design and clever solutions for easy handling characterize the products in the Refrigeration and Freezing product segment. Liebherr manufactures refrigerating and freezer units for private consumers and for professional use in commerce, trade, gastronomy and industry, as well as in the medical industry and in labs. All activities of the product segment are coordinated by Liebherr-Hausgeräte GmbH in Ochsenhausen (Germany). Liebherr manufactured the first refrigerating and freezer units in 1954. Today the company manufactures the appliances in five countries: Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, Malaysia and India. Liebherr refrigerating and freezer units are considered a symbol of top quality in the industry and by customers – in Europe and beyond. Just under 2.3 million refrigerating and freezer units are manufactured every year at the five production sites.
