P&T develops, produces, and commercializes non-conventional biocompatible lamellar solids, available as micrometric powders or nanodispersions. The incorporation of small amounts (up to 5 wt%) of lamellar nanostructuring additives into polymers significantly enhances various material properties, including mechanical and thermal performance, flame retardancy, gas barrier, and hydrophilicity/hydrophobicity. Furthermore, through intercalation technology, the additives can be modified to create multifunctional fillers that impart special properties to polymers, such as antimicrobial, catalytic, UV-protective, anticorrosive, or biomedical activity. These additives are primarily applied in the automotive, cable and electronics, packaging (including food), construction, prosthetics and medical devices, coatings, and paints sectors.

P&T has developed a range of active ingredients for the cosmetic and nutraceutical sectors, based on innovative intercalation technologies. The products rely on the use of synthetic clays and biocompatible lamellar solids as carriers for active ingredients, enabling improved stability, efficacy, bioavailability and controlled release, as well as facilitating their dispersion in both aqueous and oily phases, masking unpleasant odors and tastes, and optimizing processability. The P&T cosmetic raw materials portfolio includes molecular actives, deodorants and absorbents, rheology modifiers and texturizing agents, as well as opacifiers and gelling agents. As for nutraceutical raw materials, the portfolio includes several active ingredients with enhanced bioavailability, including Revifast® (resveratrol), Curcufast® (curcuminoids), Revifast Lipo® (resveratrol and lipoic acid), Peamifast® (palmitoylethanolamide), Calciber Fast (berberine) and Kreaslow (creatine).
