The Event
The bridge between the Italian and the Nordic Innovation Ecosystems
SMAU | Italy RestartsUp in Stockholm is the event dedicated to innovation between Italy and the Nordic ecosystems, organized in collaboration with ITA–Italian Trade Agency for the internationalization and promotion of Italian companies abroad, the event will take place on that on May 20th.
A selection of 30 Italian startups will showcase their products and services to corporates, investors, and innovation enablers. During the event, there will also be some pitching sessions and panels with representatives from the Italian and Nordic innovation ecosystem focused on: corporate innovation & emerging opportunities, energy & sustainability, digitalization & AI, connected communities and innovation ecosystems.
As stated by Pierantonio Macola, President of SMAU, the purpose of the event is: “To introduce the innovative excellence of Made in Italy to Nordic entrepreneurs, investors, and managers attending the exhibition. Italy is globally recognized for its excellence in food, fashion, and design, and SMAU | Italy RestartsUp in Stockholm will be an opportunity to activate business relationships, partnerships, and investments among international ecosystem players visiting the event and the Italian companies participating in the initiative.”
Programme
Tuesday, May 19th (by invitation only)
An opening networking cocktail event will take place at the Italian Embassy. The event is dedicated to investors, corporates and relevant players belonging to the Italian and Nordic startup ecosystem, interested in the delegation selected by SMAU.
Wednesday, May 20th from 09.30am to 5.30pm
At Epicenter, startup companies will show their own products and services to corporates, investors, enablers and startups.
There will be numerous panels with representatives from the innovation ecosystem focused on: corporate innovation & emerging opportunities, energy & sustainability, digitalization & AI, connected communities and innovation ecosystems.

Thursday, May 21st from 09.00am
Tour of some of the places where innovation happens, with visits to incubators and accelerators in the city in order to stimulate the creation of partnerships with representatives from the Italian ecosystem participating in the initiative.
