Giovanni Piero Pepe

Biografia

Giovanni Piero Pepe is Full Professor for Experimental Physics of Matter at the University of Napoli Federico II. GPP has more than 30 years’ experience in superconducting electronics for Quantum Communication and Computing. He has authored more than 200 papers in peer-reviewed journals. He has been President of the European Society for Applied Superconductivity (ESAS) until 2023, and Chairman of several international conferences. He has been vice-Director of the Department of Physics “E. Pancini” of the University of Naples Federico II until 2024, and delegate of the Rector for the Technological Transfer. He is scientific responsible for Quantum Technologies at the Competence Center Meditech 4.0, and  of the House of Emergent Technologies (CTE) of the Municipality of Matera. He is actually the spokeman of the CTEs Cluster on Quantum Technologies.
