The Aosta Valley Region - Economic Development and Energy Department intends to focus the development of the territory and the economy towards certain specific areas, promoting innovation strategies compatible with the characteristics of the local system and aimed at making innovation widespread and pervasive within the entire community. The Strategy of Smart Specialization of Aosta Valley identifies three target areas related to the "mountain" factor: Mountain Excellence, which includes the productive activities of the mountain or in favour of the mountain. Smart Mountain, which involves activities related and functional to the infrastructure and the monitoring and control system of the territory. Sustainable Mountain, which embraces the activities characterizing the Green Economy and the technologies for preventive and predictive Precision Medicine.
