This workshop will present the analysis, mapping and detailed explanation of the startup ecosystem of Milan to provide an in-depth understanding of this ecosystem.

The workshop covers a general overview of a city’s start up ecosystem and an overview of the startup ecosystem of Milan and its 23 segments, particularly the segments of Accelerators and Incubators as well as Investors.

It will cover an analysis of who is collaborating with who by the use of social network analysis maps. The workshop will identify that gaining an understanding of the startup ecosystem of Milan can add value for a variety of stakeholders.

It will aim to describe what is working well, not working well and limiting the startup ecosystem of Milan and how these conclusions were identified. The main problems within the startup ecosystem of Milan will be detailed. Practical managerial implications identified from leading city startup ecosystems will be analysed to potentially solve these problems.

The workshop will conclude with a question and answer session.
