Open Innovation in Italy: the first complete outlook

Sommario workshop

How much are Italian companies open to innovation?
How do they compare with international innovation leaders?
Are they really startup friendly?
How are they approaching the world of startups through Open Innovation activities?
Which are the most adopted open innovation strategies in Italy?

The answer to these questions comes from the “Open Innovation Outlook: Italy 2019”, produced by Mind the Bridge with the support of SMAU.

The “Open Innovation Outlook: Italy 2019” is the first survey of this kind conducted in the country. The survey covers all topics related to Open Innovation: e.g., companies were asked to describe which Open Innovation activities (such as exposure, trend spotting, procurement, co-development, investments, acquisitions) they are currently running, the results they achieved and the main barriers to their innovation process. For the first time the dynamics of Open Innovation in Italy have been analysed in-depth with an holistic perspective and a comprehensive methodology that allows international benchmarking.

The key outcomes and insights from the first Open Innovation Outlook by Mind the Bridge and Smau will be presented by Alberto Onetti at the opening of SMAU.
