Almacube is the innovative incubator and hub of the University of Bologna and Confindustria Emilia Area Centro. It works to promote the economic development of the region through innovation and the development of young enterprises, fostering collaboration with established companies, and educating new generations in an entrepreneurial approach. Founded in 1999 by the University of Bologna to support academic spin-offs, Almacube expanded its mission in 2013 by welcoming Confindustria Emilia Area Centro into its social structure. Today, Almacube is structured into two business units (Startup & Spinoff; Open Innovation) that support the community of emerging entrepreneurs while providing innovation services to established companies.
