Francesco Cupertino

Biografia

Francesco Cupertino is Full Professor at the Politecnico di Bari and President of the NEST Foundation (Network 4 Energy Sustainable Transition), a public–private partnership supporting research, innovation, and technology transfer in the energy sector. He served as Rector of Politecnico di Bari (2019–2025). He has led several public–private labs, including a joint initiative with Avio Aero (GE Aerospace), now involving over 100 researchers in aeronautical innovation. His work focuses on bridging research, industry, and entrepreneurship.
