Lara Torvi

Biografia

Lara Torvi is the director of event programming and content partnerships at MaRS, North America’s largest urban innovation hub and Canada’s leading science and technology ecosystem. At MaRS, Lara convenes the country's tech and innovation sectors through creative initiatives and by building partnerships with organizations across Canada and globally. This includes curating major conferences on health, climate and emerging technology, developing promotional campaigns and hosting targeted networking events. Prior to joining MaRS, Lara provided communications and digital strategy to New York City’s Department of Information Technology & Telecommunications and the Ontario Government’s Cabinet Office. Lara earned her BA in Cultural Studies from McGill University and an MA in Transnational Communications and Global Media from Goldsmiths College, University of London.
