In 2025, Lazio displayed the export dynamics of a "leading region": in the first six months of the year, regional exports in value grew by +17.4% year-on-year — the strongest increase among all Italian regions. Growth is driven primarily by rising foreign sales of pharmaceutical, chemical-medicinal and botanical products (a national driver to which Lazio contributes significantly), alongside increased exports of transport equipment (excluding motor vehicles). In summary: Lazio enters 2026 with an accelerating international competitiveness profile, and high-value supply chains already pulling strongly on global markets.
